    Our History

  • 1940 - Eugene Animal Hospital Founded
  • 1940s - Dr. Swangard leads city development
  • Post-WWII - Dr. Swangard's research in Bacteriology
  • 1949 - Hospital relocation
  • 1957 - Dr. Gordon C. York takes ownership
  • 1974 - Dr. Rena Cowan and Dr. Richard Hoffman take ownership
  • 1980 - Dr. Cowan becomes sole owner
  • 1981 - Affordable services begin
  • 1984 - Hospital damaged by fire
  • 2015 - Dr. Cowan retires
  • 2015 - Dr. Jodi Wiktorowski takes over
  • 2023-2025 - Dr. Jodi named Eugene's Best Veterinarian
